What is Flyball?
Flyball is an exciting team dog sport where dogs race against another team in relay-style competitions. Each dog must:
- Run over four hurdles
- Trigger a spring-loaded box to release a tennis ball
- Catch the ball
- Return over the hurdles to their handler
- The next dog on the team can't start until the previous dog crosses the finish line

Getting Started
Prerequisites for Dogs
- Age: 10 months or older
- Basic obedience skills:
- Reliable sit
- Stay/wait command
- Down position
- Strong recall
- Non-aggressive, non-reactive temperament
- Comfortable with being handled by others
- Strong toy drive (preferred) or food motivation
Equipment Needed
- 6-foot leash
- Flat, regular collar
- Training treats
- Favorite toy
- Proper footwear and athletic clothing for handlers

Beginner
- Duration: 6-8 months typical training period

- Limited class size (typically 12 dogs maximum)
