On a nice, sunny, cool day 18 dogs were judged with eight earning a qualifying score. Our judge, Mike Los, road in from Burlington on his motor cycle, ran a smooth ring and made everyone feel comfortable. Thanks to our large group of helpers for also making everything run smoothly: Sue Steinbach, Dona Barsul, Fred Kauer, Tim and Sue Johansen, Tori Baldwin and Karen and Tina Felle. Sue put together dog bowls with goodies as the prizes. And everyone even got home in time to watch the Packers win.

Seventy-two hours into her new membership at Milwaukee Dog, Diana Howland and her magnificent Standard Poodle, U-CH Terrifick Kiley Kilow UD (plus 21 additional titles) and her toy poodles Howland’s Handy Andy CD and his son Howland’s Hellion Harley CGC together with Linda Roman’s Romans Cosette Blu CD, UCD volunteered in the World of Weddings Show at State Fair Park on January 10 and 11th 2004. Diana, a profession groomer, buffed and coiffeured the four poodles in preparation of the big event. Kashka’s of Milwaukee designed costumes for the entire poodle wedding party. Along with two costume fittings, a rehearsal, and 4-fashion shows over 2-day period. Diana volunteered Kiley to be Cozy’s groom and devoted more that 30 hours to her first (and hopefully more) Milwaukee Dog Training Club projects. A big round of applause to Diana Howland. Thanks to Linda and Diana’s dedicated work, (and the helping hands of Tori Baldwin and Marilyn) the Wonderful World of Weddings has donated $200 to our Club!

The Holiday Party on January 17th was a great success! We had about 75 attendees. Thank you to Brad and Kim Rinzel for doing the planning. Thanks, also, to Sue Steinbach and Deb Matthies for handling the raffles and silent auction. Congratulations to Sheryl Henry who received the Outstanding Service Award and Fred Kauer who was named Instructor of the Year. Both awards are certainly well deserved! Congratulations, too, to Deb Jumes and Ed Muraczewski who each won a free, 6-month membership. And, last but certainly not least, congratulations to all of our 2003 title winners who received their awards at the party.
